All about The Happy Clef.

As I expand  my business I decided to create this blog as a means to inform other people of everything I am teaching to help as much as possible, for free. Nothing beats an individualized lesson, but when it comes to the everyday stuff that students ask me that are always the same answer, you will find it here. ( Also, check out the frequently asked questions section or message me if you don’t see your answer anywhere!)

I also teach adults who just finally want to learn the instrument that they quit as a kid. Most common story ever. They say, “I took lessons as a kid for _____ months/years. I wish I hadn’t, but I’d like to get back into it.” This statement is the reason I try to tell parents to keep them in music if they are doing well. Here is where I want to help those who may not have time to come in or get private lessons, but maybe learn to sing while listening to my videos in the car, or read the blog and watch the videos on their own time when they feel like it, then book a call whenever fits their schedule.

The Happy Clef is filled with insightful information for the music teacher and student. It contains all of the hurdles I went through and the solutions, how-tos, solving problems and of course the logistics of actually owning, operating the business, recruiting students and where to find them  and setting your rules and boundaries and yep, prices. 

The happy clef is also for the students, young and old, beginner to advanced. I will be sharing my practice techniques for advanced licks and riffs that are a pain in the a$$ as well as tips for beginners just trying to figure out where to begin.

I will also be reviewing instruments and providing insight on the best, budget friendly instruments and where you should and should not buy one from Amazon. Having a good instrument that works properly is the second step to succeeding (the first is just deciding to do it). So if you are playing an instrument or looking for one, please check out my instrument reviews. They are updated weekly. Of course obsenely expensive instruments (for fun) because who doesn’t want to try to play on a million dollar flute! Maybe thats just me. If you’re a singer, congats your instrument is free. 😉😏
